carey sat at my breakfast bar last night, drinking a beer and pondering the complexities of his life. i played attentive bartender, listening, trying to draw insight into this guy who wants nothing more in life than good prime rib and a woman who can be a best friend as well as a lover. he's very pragmatic. he also smells good, even after assembling an unruly swingset.
