tiffany is idly munching alfalfa outside my window as i write. she arrived today, backing dutifully from the trailer and promptly nuzzling my pockets for treats. after a booster shot for west nile virus, she spent most of the day nervously pacing chez sage, loudly announcing to the neighbors and anyone else who cares to listen that she's been uprooted from her home of 16 years in order to fulfill my lifelong dream. i expect to be up with her tonight, mainly to remind her that i'm still around... but mostly to remind myself that she's real.
