a beautiful birthday bbq with the new fella and my kids; this place was made for eating outside. no goddamn fog rolling in by 4. (note to spencer; never set off a string of firecrackers behind a vet!) i don't mind turning 51, but i think i'll remain 50 for awhile, at least until the arrival of the grandchild; 50 was a year of change and accomplishment, just as my berries said it would be. there is alot to savor right now; berries waddling through a stable in flipflops, tentatively feeding beautiful horses handfuls of hay. the affectionate glance of a guy who thinks i'm pretty. the everchanging desert sunsets. a 15 cent raise from walmart. oh, and best of all, expensive french wine in a gorgeous crystal goblet, courtesy of a man in california whose life will never be the same without me.
