melancholy tonight, and i'm not sure why. i think it has something to do with some photo albums and baby books that berries pulled from a box in my closet. twenty five years of memories between two men; yellowed pages of childish cake and ice cream smiles, rumpled christmas wrapping, forgotten faces, forgotten family vacations. funny; it's the undocumented, unphotographed stuff i can't forget. the fights, the tears, the hidden bruises and letdowns and heartaches.
