home from work yesterday to find patrick's annual valentine tribute; yellow roses, balloons, and bigger-than-life lipstick love on my bedroom closet mirror. it never fails to thrill me, but i often wonder what those hapless drugstore clerks are thinking when a man of patrick's age and dignity buys lipstick.
