baby cougar came into the world today, blissfully indifferent to the dubious path that lies before him. his parents, babies themselves, still have no home. i fed them this week, provided gas money for trips to the doctor, dispensed labor and delivery advice for her and moral support for him, and even after convincing myself the pity party had to stop, still bought a newborn layette; tiny shirts and bibs and caps and booties. why? the baby supplies, including the car seat and crib, are in storage and the payment is overdue. the poor kid had nothing to wear for the trip home. father, slightly green around the gills, and son, angry and red, are doing fine. mom? i quote;
'wash him off before you give him to me!'
