richard and i watched 'purple noon' last night, an old french alain delon classic. i purposely avoided the topics he loves to lecture me about- my love life and parenting skills- so we had a good time. that is, until he allowed henry to relieve himself in the flower bed and justified it by criticizing my gardening skills.
