updating the diary at work with the entire staff looking over my shoulder prompted me to buy my own computer today. i can write at home now, wearing unmentionables and drinking $2.99 wine from trader joe's. the idea is liberating. i feel as though i've been living at stonehenge, and just got my eviction notice.
