imagine the manager of a hotel working the night shift on new year's eve. i like to pretend that i'm benevolent, and care more for my staff than i do myself. beyond the bullshit is the fact that i hate the false gaiety, the reflections, the resolutions no one really means to keep. and it's fucking hard to stay awake until midnight.
